STEM Activities at QE

This year at QES, all students in Grade 1-8 will have the opportunity to participate in weekly STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) activities.

Sometimes called STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Math), these classes are an essential part of learning in the 21 Century because it teaches our students to access their existing knowledge to learn how to solve problems, make sense of information, and how to gather and evaluate evidence to make decisions. Summed up, STEM helps our students to develop their critical thinking skills.

At QES, we have a knowledgeable and enthusiastic STEM Team of Ms. Day, Mrs. Giles and Mrs. Hemsing leading our students though a variety of projects to help build critical thinking skills.

We can't wait to see your learning in action!
